Now that your replacing your marine engine use the higher horsepower they use far less fuel 4.3 Volvo Penta Engine When replacing your 4.3 engine purchase one with 50 more horsepower these use less fuel and the extra power is great. Add the 4 barrel carburetor happy boating 350 volvo penta engine 350 marine engines are by far the most used engine by volvo penta and most had 260 or less horse power. These low horse power 350 lack power and use to much fuel. The 300 horse 350 will use less fuel because of the higher compression pistons we use. US ENGINE tested 454 Volvo Penta Engine Your factory 454 330 horse power marine engine just lacks power and fuel usage is high. To solve this use the 400 or 425 horse power 454 marine engine. You will be very pleased with the power and lower fuel usage. We can say this because we are marine engine experts that realy test marine engines.
